One of the visa requirements that will perhaps take the most planning is the housing requirement.  The Algerian government requires each applicant to state where they will be lodging during their stay in the country and to provide proof of lodging.  In the case of a hotel, you should have the hotel fax you your reservation details. For those staying in Algeria for relatively long periods of time (more than 4 months), renting an apartment within a major city is also a possibility. Apartment rentals can be Made through local rental agencies. While most leases are year-long, you can always try to negotiate. When one uses a rental agency, one must pay the entirety of the rental contract in advance, plus one extra month of rent for the agency. For example if your rent is 45000 Algerian Dinars per month and you take a year contract, you will be required to pay: (45000 * 12) + 45000 = 585000 Algerian Dinars on the day you sign your contract.
