 « Fourth TIMA Conference »

 Dear colleagues,

We are happy to announce that the schedule of the Fourth Islamic Manuscript Conference, 6-8 July, Queens' College, Cambridge UK, is now online and can be found at:

The schedule lists in detail the timings of the conference's five panels- Cataloguing,Research and Publishing, Conservation, Collections, and Digitisation- as well as the titles of the papers and names of presenters.

Each of TIMA's interest groups are preparing conference panels on cataloguing, conservation, digitisation and publishing. The sub-committees leading these groups will discuss their work to date, promoting best practice and standards in their fields. This year, the conference will include a special panel discussing specific manuscript collections from around the world, and special attention will be paid to the state of Islamic manuscript collections in West Africa.

There is also information about the AGM, poster sessions, conservation workshop planned for the 8th July and the concert of traditional Iranian Sufi music which we are organising for the night of the 7th July. The registration form and information about accommodation and dining can also be found on this page.

The Islamic Manuscript Association's Board and Subcommittees have planned a very exciting programme this year, and we look forward to seeing many of you at the conference.
